Mandolin

I have been playing the mandolin for for 13 years. I have been performing with my father for similar amount of time. I initially learnt guitar and started taking the mandolin more seriously when we formed Carousel. I think that the mandolin sounds great with the combination of instruments we have in Carousel. I enjoy the melodic and rhythmic elements of the instrument. My favourite mandolin players are Mike Marshall and Chris Thile.

I have just completed my PhD thesis in Molecular Biology at Victoria University and i am now working at the University of Melbourne as a research scientist. My other interests are yoga and veganism.
